    Ice Barrel Review: Superb Performance

After using the Ice Barrel on and off for a few weeks, I felt physically better. I was less tense and had less muscle pain. However, I did not lose weight, which may be attributed to the that I regularly drank an outstanding beer while buried in the barrel. (It made sense to me - cold therapy both inside and out.) However, I would utilize it more if I didn't have to make continual ice runs or if the barrel was simpler.

The water should be between 40 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit for the best results. I filled the barrel about three-quarters full of water for my first use and then added around 30 pounds of ice. It melted rapidly.

You'll need more than 60 pounds of ice every few days for the best effects. If you have access to an industrial ice machine ? high school or college athletic departments, Crossfit gyms near Starbucks ? the Ice Barrel makes more sense.

    Ice Barrel Review: FAQs

What makes Ice Barrel boasts of unique design & immaculate features?

In terms of design, it couldn't be better or more original. It's only a barrel. You may empty the barrel with a garden hose by pressing a drainage button at the bottom. (They advise draining and refilling the barrel once a month.)

On the outside, it looks like a traditional wooden barrel with a visible Ice Barrel symbol. The business emblem appears on the matching lid, but there is no lettering. All of this contributes to the product's luxurious appearance. While it isn't made of wood, it looks nice on the deck ? or when you climb inside for the obligatory social media photographs.

Because it was composed of lightweight, recyclable, and non-toxic plastic, the empty Ice Barrel was simple to transfer into a corner of my backyard deck. (Do this before filling it with water; it weighs around 55 pounds empty and 750 pounds loaded.) It features a lid and a protective cover to keep the water clean. The covered barrel was meant to function as an insulated cooler. It didn't do much to keep the dampness at bay during many hot days.

Ice Barrel Review: Narrating the first-hand experience

When I first entered the barrel, I asked myself, "Why am I doing this when I have a nice bathtub inside?" With bemused grins on their faces, my neighbors may have been asking themselves a similar question as they saw me drop into the barrel. I crept in slowly, taking care not to shock my system.

Once inside, the Ice Barrel was quite lovely. The barrel features a step stool to help with entry but adding a second one submerged within lets you enter and depart safely and comfortably without lifting yourself over the edge. I'm a 5'10" tall guy who didn't feel claustrophobic. It helped that you could only spend ten minutes in the barrel at a time.

    Ice Barrel Review: Final Verdict

I enjoyed the Ice Barrel concept and had a fantastic time with it (eventually). While it looks to be a viable option, there are better options and far less expensive. It's probably best suited for somebody looking to build a Nordic-style deck or make some weird TikTok videos. It might also be helpful for a sports team or gym (as long as you don't mind sharing water with the person who came before you). The Ice Barrel costs $1,199.97. (the US only).
